Righteousness is not (merely) that you turn your faces to the East and the West; but
righteousness is that one believes in Allah and the Last Day and the angels and the Book
and the Prophets, and gives wealth, despite (his) love for it, to relatives, and to
orphans, the helpless, the wayfarer, and to those who ask, and (spends) in (freeing) slaves
and observes the Salah (prayers) and pays Zakah___and (the act of) those who fulfill
their covenant when they enter into a covenant, and, of course, those who are patient in
hardship and suffering and when in battle! Those are the ones who are truthful, and those
are the God-fearing. (2:177)

O ye who believe! Spend of the good things which ye have earned, and of that which We
bring forth from the earth for you, and seek not the bad (with intent) to spend thereof
(in charity) when ye would not take it for yourselves save with disdain; and know that
Allah is Absolute, Owner of Praise (2:267)

Those who spend (of that which Allah hath given them) in ease and in adversity,
those who control their wrath and are forgiving toward mankind; Allah loveth the
good; (3:134)

Whoso bringeth a good deed will receive tenfold the like thereof, while whoso
bringeth an ill-deed will be awarded but the like thereof; and they will not be wronged.

(To) those whose hearts tremble when Allah is mentioned, and those who are patient under
that which afflicts them, and those who keep up prayer, and spend (benevolently) out of
what We have given them (22:35)

And when Al-Khair (good) touched him, (he is one) who hesitates (himself) and also
stops others (from spending it in a desirable way) —(70:20)
